The New Jeep Wrangler JL is here and CoolToys hits the road.
With Epic Snow in the Tahoe Basin, we took the new 2019 Jeep Wrangler JL Sahara Unlimited on a snow run. We wanted to see if it was really “Unlimited”. Something we didn’t cover in the episode is the key differences between the JK with aftermarket ring lights wires as DRL and the new Jeep Factory LED option with a ring. The factory option is not bright enough to be a DRL, it is barely visible in the day time.
In this episode, Scott will talk about a few of the tools that started off with in the CoolToys ® studio to record CoolToys TV.
Some quick things right up front. Everything you saw us add or complain about in Season One, the JLU came with or corrected. The list is pretty long, but the biggies are under the hood. The JK had the V-6. We opted to test the new 2.0 I-4 Turbo with the 2019 JL. The JKU had a 6 speed slush box, the JLU an 8 speed. Why eight gears? Beacause we can?
Sting-Grey was selected as the color instead of Granite Crystal to sort of tone down how civilized the JL has become. Yes the JLU is a lot more civilized, and you see it from the first look. The question we want to know is how tough is the Wrangler JLU?
Our JK v JL video didn’t work out the way we hoped. Look for a comparison video next season. Instead we’ll take you behind the scenes to show you what equipment we used to launch the CoolToys Show.
